This paper briefly introduces the status quo of coatings hazardous substances and performance testing standard system,sorts out the similarities and differences between ASTM(American Society of Testing Materials)architectural coatings method standards and domestic standards,and analyzes the unqualified items in the quality supervision and random inspection of coatings products.The EU REACH regulation SVHC(substances of very high concern),identification of coatings film-forming substances and other inspection and testing requirements are put forward.The risks existing in the inspection and testing of coatings products are analyzed from the aspects of data differences between different institutions,differences in the definition of indicators between industries,differences in the standardization level of enterprises,and gaps in product standards.At last,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the standardization of coatings by inspection and testing institutions.
