Study on the Application of 3-dimethylaminopropylamine in Waterborne Alicyclic Amine Curing Agent
In order to solve the difficulty of hydrolyzation of alicyclic amine in epoxy curing agent,4,4'-diaminodicyclohexylmethane(H12MDA)as the base amine,1,3-propylenediamine(DMAPA)as a hydrophilic modifier was synthesized with liquid epoxy resin(NPEL-128)and polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(PEGDGE)into a waterborne epoxy curing agent. At the same time, the control group was set up with diethylenetriamine(DETA)as a hydrophilic modifier, the hydrophilic modification effect of 1,3-propylenediamine(DMAPA)with tertiary amine structure on HMDA was investigated, and the dosage of non-ionic hydrophilic chain extender polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(PEGDGE)was optimized. The results showed that the hydrophilicity of DMAPA was much higher than that of the conventional fatty amines represented by diethylenetriamine, and the obtained curing agent had moderate viscosity and good water solubility. The film prepared by the curing agent had high hardness, high impact resistance and excellent water and salt spray resistance.
