Effect of Grinding Process of Waterborne Carbon Black Paste on Industrialization of Waterborne Coatings Formulas
The systematic research on the grinding process of the waterborne resin-free color paste in the manufacturing process of the waterborne coatings is described in this paper.The effects of the production equipment and process for waterborne resin-free carbon black paste pre-dispersion,the grinding equipment,the grinding media and the filling amount,the grinding process parameters such as the grinding flow rate,the grinding time,the grinding temperature,the viscosity of the color paste,and the settling time of the pre-dispersed slurry on the efficiency and the stability of color paste grinding were studied.The research results had significant guidance for the rapid transformation of the laboratory formulas of the waterborne coatings to the industrial production as well as the improvement of the quality management system.
