Comparison of Radiative Cooling and Reflective Thermal Insulation Materials
We compare the performance of commercial radiative cooling coatings and reflective thermal insulation coatings. Our results show that under the same test condition of the maximum outdoor ambient temperature of 41.6℃,the radiative cooling coatings are 5.0℃lower than the reflective thermal insulation coatings and 2.0℃lower than the ambient temperature. It suggests that radiative cooling coatings are more efficient in building space temperature control in summer. Moreover, radiative cooling coatings require less dose and show better resistance to artificial climate aging than reflective thermal insulation coatings, indicating great potential in practical use.
