Short fiber index,average length of upper half and length uniformity index were extracted from HVI test data of cotton fiber.After statistical analysis,the regression equations between the indexes are established.Study within a certain confidence inter-val,by the average length of the upper half,and the length Uniformity Index,short fiber index was calculated by correlation,and in the actual inspection work to be applied.
