Analysis for the color fastness quality of atlas silk and improvement suggestions
Atlas silk,with its distinctive ethnic features in Xinjiang,has garnered widespread attention in recent years,fueled by the growth of Xinjiang's tourism industry and gradually integrating into people's daily lives.However,the development of Atlas silk craftsmanship has been sluggish,with severe issues of color fading and color transfer,hindering the expansion of its market and brand promotion.This paper focuses on this issue,analyzing the factors affecting the colorfastness of Atlas silk,which chiefly include outdated dyeing techniques,a miscellaneous use of dyes and auxiliaries,inadequate quality control of raw materials,insufficient stan-dardization of production processes,and a lack of awareness regarding product quality control among enterprises.Accordingly,the following recommendations are proposed:preserving traditional handcraftsmanship for high-end products while enhancing dyeing techniques for mid-to low-end products and encouraging the adoption of new technologies;reinforcing the consciousness of quality control,optimizing enterprise management,and encouraging third-party institutions to fulfill their roles by providing technical assis-tance;facilitating standardized production for product quality enhancement and reinforcing the protection of local specialty products.
