Standardization work serves various fields of the national economy and plays an important technical support role in im-plementing national strategies such as building a strong country in quality,technology,and manufacturing.The current development status of standardization work in the cotton industry was investigated,problems and deficiencies including in standard system,key technical standards,standard management and updates in the cotton industry were identified,and corresponding work suggestions were proposed in this paper.It aims to provide a research foundation for solving the difficulties and obstacles in the reform and development of cotton quality and safety supervision,and to provide an effective path for standardized technology to support the high-quality and sustainable development of the cotton industry.
