Based on the statistical analysis of the occurrence of geological disasters in Guizhou Province from 2010 to 2022,taking full account of the"man-made"and"natural"factors,and taking the characteristics of more than seven major geological disasters in Guizhou Province since 2010 as an example,this paper studies the mechanism of geological disasters while analyzing current situation of prevention and control.This paper summarizes the difficulties and shortcomings in the prevention,response and disposal of major geological disasters,and constantly consolidates the foundation of geological disaster prevention and control in Guizhou Province and accumulates practical experience in response and disposal,which has achieved remarkable results in avoiding casualties caused by major geological disasters.
