Objective:To explore the research status, hotspots, and prospects of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)resources to provide references for further development and research in the TCM field. Methods:The current state of research on domestic TCM resources was examined using high-frequency keyword analysis, social network analysis, and a summary of literature content. Results:The related literature exhibited three phases in temporal distribution:initiation, fluctuating growth, and rapid development.Regionally, publication distribution was uneven, with the highest volume in eastern China and the lowest in northeastern China.Beijing,Jiangsu,Shanghai, and Shandong had the highest publication volumes among all provinces and municipalities.Approximately 10%of publications appeared in core journals.High-frequency keyword analysis revealed hotspots such as TCM,human resources, health tourism, and health resources, corroborated by social network analysis. Conclusion:Research hotspots on TCM resources focus on equity and efficiency of resource allocation, development of grassroots TCM,construction and utilization of TCM resources, health tourism related to TCM,and TCM culture.Future research should emphasize the supply-demand prediction of TCM resources and the development, management, and utilization of grassroots TCM resources to address imbalances in TCM resource distribution and promote the inheritance and innovation of TCM culture.
