Achieving unified intelligent hospital bed management based on ECRS optimization principles
Hospital beds are a critical infrastructure for medical institutions.Under the hierarchical medical system, tertiary hospitals face significant inpatient service pressure, particularly following the implementation of real-time off-site medical insurance settlement policies, which have intensified bed shortages in Beijing's tertiary hospitals. This study addresses issues such as the complexity of bed allocation workflows, low operational efficiency, and challenges in ensuring work quality.By leveraging ECRS(Eliminate,Combine,Rearrange,Simplify)optimization principles, the bed allocation workflow was reengineered.Based on the unified hospital-wide bed management framework,an intelligent bed allocation model and smart voice notification tool were developed, integrating intelligent services into all aspects of bed management. This initiative significantly improved operational efficiency, enhanced the quality of medical services, and optimized bed utilization.
