Construction and application of a secondary allocation scheme for operating room nursing performance based on KPI
Objective:To explore the feasibility, rationality, and fairness of using the Key Performance Indicator(KPI)method to construct a secondary performance allocation scheme for operating rooms. This scheme aims to reflect fair compensation based on work contribution, transparency, and incentivize nursing staff, providing a reference for secondary performance distribution in operating rooms. Methods:A departmental performance allocation team was formed to review relevant literature and incorporate the clinical realities of the department into a preliminary scheme.Using the KPI method and focus group discussions,a finalized secondary performance allocation scheme was developed.Satisfaction with nursing quality and nursing staff defect rates before and after implementing the scheme were observed. Results:After implementing the new performance allocation scheme, nursing staff satisfaction with performance reforms increased significantly from 60.9%to 95.7%(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the defect rate in nursing quality decreased significantly from 13.0%to 3.4%(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing the secondary performance allocation scheme based on KPI improved nursing quality, enhanced nursing staff enthusiasm, and increased satisfaction with performance distribution in the operating room.
