Zhang Yuzhen,a musician who studied in the United States contemporaneously with Huang Zi,held significant roles as a music educator,pianist,and music theorist with notable social influence during the 1930s.Despite her accomplishments,Zhang Yuzhen has remained relatively obscure for various reasons.Drawing on historical materials,this paper endeavors to provide a preliminary analysis and discussion of Zhang Yuzhen,shedding light on her musical contributions.
