Maria Callas,an American-born Greek soprano(1923-1977),has been acclaimed as one of the quintessential interpreters of Violetta in Verdi's opera,"La Traviata."This paper employs data visualization alongside other empirical methodologies to undertake a rigorous analysis of Callas's audio-visual recordings,particularly her performances of"Brindisi,""Ah,fors'è lui,"and"Addio del passato."Grounded in historical context,our analysis indicates that during the golden eight years of her career,Maria Callas's renditions of Violetta evolved towards perfection,showcasing a commitment to fidelity to the score and creative interpretation originating from the music itself.This approach aimed at precisely conveying the dramatic effects,reflecting an advanced concept that remains exemplary.
