Notations of the Baishi Daoren Songs:Contents,Concepts,and Interpretation Issues in Related Research
The Baishi Daoren Songs have survived to the present in three forms of ancient notations:Jianzi notation(减字谱),Lvlvzi notation(律吕字谱),and Suzi notation(俗字谱).These notations are important documents of musical notation from the Song and Yuan Dynasties,holding significant historical and academic value.Since the rediscovery of the notations in the Qing Dynasty,many scholars have paid attention to them and published a series of research findings,leading to various translations.However,despite this research,there are still many problems related to the versions of the notations and the concepts and methods of their interpretation.This study discusses the preservation,research content,interpreting concepts,and the shortcomings in the existing research of the notations.
