This paper focuses on analyzing the creative characteristics of the original musical The Light Chaser and discusses the general characteristics of the localization of Chinese musicals.Through its innovative presentation of a revolutionary theme,the musical narrates Chinese tales in a distinctly Chinese manner,successfully attracting audiences and gaining market recognition.Its artistic characteristics are mainly reflected in its easily understandable melody,concise musical structure,clear storyline,and diverse stage performance forms.During the creation process,the musical emphasizes representing Chinese tales,expressing a Chinese perspective,and innovating creative mechanisms,objectively proving the market reception of locally original musicals.
