Anatomical Observation on Morphological Development of Panax notoginseng Embryo
The anatomical observation was carried out to reveal the development process of Panax notoginseng embryo.The results showed that the embryo development started around the 40~(th) day of flowering period and the embryo could complete the morphological maturity after the development of 130 days.The embryo Was at the heart embryo stage when the fruits were mature.This was the main reason of the seed dormancy.The growth curves of different organs of p.notoginseng seeds demonstrated the S type-three periods of slow growth,quick growth and slow growth.The results had laid a good foundation for the mechanism research of P.notoginseng seed dormancy,seed eatment and effective conservation in production and the breeding works.
