According to the International Seed Inspection Rules and Crop seed Inspection Rules,different detection conditions and detection methods of Trichosanthes kirilowii Maxim.seed sample,clarity,authenticity,1000-grain weight,water content,vitality,germination rate and other indica-tors were compared and analyzed,and the standard test method of controllable indicators was deter-mined.For the clarity analysis of Trichosanthes kirilowii seeds,at least 3500 g of samples and 350 g of experimental samples should be submitted.The seed authenticity was determined by morphological observation.1000-grain weight of seed was determined by 500-grain method.Water content was determined by high constant temperature(131±2)℃grinding(grinding according to GB/T 3543.6-1995 requirements of grinding fineness)drying method,drying time was 3 h;TTC method was used to determine viability.The seeds were soaked for 4 hours.After 1/2 of the seeds were cut longitudi-nally,the seeds were dyed at 30℃and 1.0％TTC solution for 3 hours without light.The germination test conditions were soaked in warm water at 40℃for 4-6 hours,then transferred to cold water for 24 hours,and germinated on paper under the condition of 20℃/30℃variable temperature,8 hours light/16 hours darkness.The germination counting time was 7-23 days.This procedure was applica-ble to the quality test of Trichosanthes kirilowii seeds.
