Comprehensive Evaluation of Main Agronomic Traits of Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench Germplasm Resources
In order to make better use of Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench germplasm resources,201 Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench germplasm resources were used as materials, and 18 agronomic traits were analyzed by variation analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis and clus-ter analysis. The results showed that 201 Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench germplasm resources had relatively rich diversity, and the diversity index of quality traits ranged from 0.66 to 1.79.The coeffi-cient of variation of the 10 quantitative traits ranged from 8.46%to 43.51%,with the largest coeffi-cient of variation being the number of branches and the smallest being the capsule width.Correlation analysis showed that the yield of Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench was highly correlated with the first branch node, the number of main stem nodes, the number of fruits per plant and the number of fruit edges. The number of branches, number of main stem segments and yield per plant were correla-ted with the content of flower bud flavonoids.Principal component analysis simplified 13 quantitative traits into 4 principal components, the cumulative contribution rate reached 62.049%,of which these 4 principal components reflected the main genetic information of 201 Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench materials. The tested materials were divided into 4 groups by cluster analysis:Group Ⅰ had high flavonoid content but lowest yield;Group Ⅱ and Group m had high yield and low flavonoid con-tent in flower buds and young fruits.Group Ⅱ had tall plants and more branches, while Group Ⅲ had the opposite effect. The fruits of group Ⅳ were large and heavy, but the number of fruits per plant was small and the yield was low.According to different purposes and needs, different groups of mate-rials could be selected as the breeding parents of Abelmoschus esculentus L.Moench.
