Effects of Exogenous Hormones on Seed Germination of Inner Mongolia Medicine Agi(Artemisia frigida Willd.)under Saline-alkali Stress
In order to explore the effects of exogenous hormones indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)and gibber-ellin(GA3)on seed germination of the Inner Mongolia medicinal herb Agi Artemisia frigida Willd.under saline-alkali stress,in this experiment, the concentrations of NaCl and NaHCO3 that could make 50%of Artemisia frigida Willd.seeds germinate were screened by simulating saline-alkali stress at different concentrations of NaCl and NaHCO3,and the concentrations were 210 mmol/L and 95 mmol/L,under this concentration of saline-alkali stress, different concentrations IAA and effects of GA3 on seed germination were studied. The results showed that with the gradual increase of NaCl and NaHCO3 concentrations, the germination rate of Artemisia frigida Willd.seeds decreased.Different concentrations of IAA and GA3 had different degrees of promotion effect on germination rate, germination potential and germination index of Artemisia frigida Willd.seeds, and there were significant differences in the indexes between the treatments, and under NaCl stress,50 mg/L IAA and 80 mg/L GA3 treatment could significantly improve the germination index of Artemisia frigida Willd.seeds.Under NaHCO3 stress,50 mg/L IAA and 10 mg/L GA3 treatment significantly increased seed germination rate, indicating that a certain concentration of exogenous hormones had a promoting effect on seed germination of Artemisia frigida Willd.under saline-alkali stress.
