Effects of Compound Saline-alkali Stress on Seed Germination of Allium mongolicum Regel
The seeds of Allium mongolicum Regel were used as experimental materials, and the types and concentrations of salt were used as variables. The four salts(NaCl,Na2SO4,NaHCO3,Na2CO3)were mixed according to the molar ratio in 5 different ratios:A(1∶1∶0∶0),B(1∶2∶1∶1∶0),C(1∶9∶9∶1),D(1∶1∶1∶1),E(9∶1∶1∶1∶9),and a total of 5 groups were set up with 8 concentration gradients for each group and the paper germination test was conducted. The results showed that the germination of Allium mongolicum Regel seeds was inhibited to a certain extent under different salt combinations and different concentration treatments. With the increase of stress concentration, germination rate, germination potential, vitality index and germination index decreased, the relative salt damage rate gradually increased, and the inhibitory effect on seed germination was enhanced. The effect of salt concentration on seed germination was greater than that of salt type. The tolerance to neutral salt stress was stronger than alkaline salt stress.By regression analysis and cluster analysis, the salt toler-ance threshold was 23.553 mmol/L,and the salt tolerance limit was 236.087 mmol/L.By principal component analysis, the germination index was converted into two principal components, and the cu-mulative contribution rate was 93.861%,which could effectively reflect the information contained in the experimental data and build a comprehensive score model:C=0.913 ×C1+0.087×C2.Combined with regression analysis, cluster analysis and principal component score model,a comprehensive eval-uation system was established to provide an effective means for saline-alkali tolerant breeding of Allium mongolicum Regel.
