Comprehensive Analysis and Evaluation of Yield and Main Agronomic Traits of New Maize Varieties in He'nan Province
Based on the experimental data of maize(Zea mays L.)complex in He'nan Province in 2021,19 maize varieties were studied through correlation analysis, grey correlation analysis, cluster analy-sis,principal component analysis and TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation. The results showed that the coefficient of variation of maize bald tip was the largest of 43.72%,and the coefficient of variation of maize growing period was the smallest of 0.63%.Maize yield was positively correlated with growth period, ear size and 100-grain weight, and was positively correlated with axis size, ear row number, seed yield, ear position and plant height. There was a negative correlation between corn yield and corn head and ear length.Agronomic traits such as growth period, ear size and 100-grain weight were the dominant factors in yield of maize. The 19 varieties could be divided into three categories by cluster analysis. In the principal component analysis, the first four principal components could represent 81.124%of the original information.Through cluster analysis, principal component analysis and TOPSIS analysis,8 new varieties, including Hongfeng5505 and Tunyu329,were found to have high yield, excellent performance and excellent comprehensive traits.
