Preliminary Study on Seed Reserve for Rice Disaster Relief and Preparedness in Hu'nan Province
In order to build a perfect seed reserve system for disaster relief preparation to ensure normal grain production under natural disasters or other emergency situations,this study discussed the main problems faced by seed reserve for disaster relief preparation,and proposed measures such as optimi-zing the subsidy standard for disaster relief reserve,issuing seed quality control standards,accelera-ting variety renewal and seed storage technology innovation to improve the seed reserve system for disaster relief preparation efficiency and stability in responding to disasters and emergencies,ensuring reliable seed sources and sustainable development of food production,and providing reference for the construction of seed reserve systems for disaster preparedness in other parts of China.
