Comprehensive Evaluation of Main Agronomic Traits of Brassica napus in Northern Xinjiang Based on Multivariate Statistical Methods
The correlation analysis, principal component analysis, membership function analysis and cluster analysis of the main agronomic characters of 20 Brassica napus varieties tested in northern Xinjiang were carried out to select the germplasm resources with good comprehensive agronomic char-acters.The results showed that the main agronomic traits of the 20 rapeseed germplasm resources had great variation, and the coefficient of variation ranged from 10.83%to 39.09%.The top three coeffi-cient of variation were yield per plant, number of corner fruits per plant and number of corner fruits in main sequence,so the yield per plant had the greatest difference among different rapeseed varieties.According to the principal component analysis method, the comprehensive membership function value was calculated, and 20 Brassica napus were divided into four groups by cluster analysis method, and one germplasm resource with the best comprehensive agronomic characteristics was selected, named Y2,which had moderate yield per plant, the largest number of kernels, kernels per plant, kernels per centimeter, and main sequence kernels, the longest main sequence length, the largest stem diameter, the highest plant height, relatively large branch height and branch number, and 9 germplasm resources with good overall performance. The multivariate statistical analysis showed that the comprehensive index of Y2 variety was judged to be excellent, which could be used for the genetic improvement of variety yield and main traits in rape breeding in Northern Xinjiang.
