Nurtured by traditional Chinese culture and real-life practice,the CPC's governance of the coun-try has distinctive Chinese characteristics.Taking schistosomiasis control as an example,this paper discusses the characteristics of national governance with Chinese characteristics:The consistency between the CPC's value stance of people's supremacy and the emotional meaning of the people's interests;the full unity of recognizing the diffi-culty of governance and the resilience to overcome the difficulties on the road ahead;the complementary roles of re-specting the subjectivity of scientific laws and absorbing the essence of traditional Chinese culture;the combination of fully mobilizing the enthusiasm of the masses and deeply tapping into their creativity;the connection between the vision of embracing the world and focusing on the common development of all humanity.
