As a kind of folk art,the wood-block New Year paintings in Zhuxian town are rooted in folk sto-ries,myths and legends,classical operas,customs and other folk culture.Its main parts are the acceptance of folk beliefs,the cultural inheritance of homophonic puns,the reproduction of production and life,and the acceptance and interpretation of historical stories,folk legends and classical literature.Therefore,it is widely used among the people and has a good communication effect.It is often used as a carrier of values and has a significant impact on people's ideas and behaviors.In addition,through the discussion of the innovation and function of the wood-block New Year paintings in Zhuxian town,we can understand its folk culture and significance and its function to contemporary society.
