The concept of"Upholding the courage to struggle"permeates the entire process of Mao Zedong's leadership in China's revolution and construction.The viewpoint of materialist dialectics,namely the unity of op-posites in contradiction,serves as the philosophical basis for the CPC's courage to struggle.Based on the univer-sality of contradictions,Mao Zedong emphasized the determination of Communists to boldly fight,clarified the ene-mies and friends of struggle by distinguishing primary and secondary contradictions as well as the principal and sec-ondary aspects of contradictions,and formulated and adjusted struggle strategies starting from the particularity of contradictions,theoretically provided methodological guidance to the Communists in their insistence on daring to struggle,and promoted the continuous victory of the CPC's struggle practice.
