Observation on the effect of comprehensive nursing after repairing middle facial defect with facial artery perforator relay flap
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive nursing after repairing middle facial defect with facial artery perforator relay flap.Methods A total of 26 cases with middle facial defect for reasons of tumors and trauma treated in Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery,the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical University from October 2019 to October 2021 were enrolled.There were 14 males and 12 females,aging from 36 to 78 years.According to the condition of tumors and the area of trauma,the facial artery perforator relay flap were designed to repair the middle facial defects.Comprehensive nursing was used after operation,including basic managements of patients and wards,protection of the operated area,holistic observation,supportive treatment and real-time monitoring for local skin flaps.Results All flaps survived after operation,primary healing of incision was obtained,and no complications such as vascular crisis were found.The patients were followed up for 7.5(3-12)months.No obvious scar occurred in the surgery area,and the flap featured good appearance,color and texture.General effects of the operation by patients′estimation were excellent in 21 cases,good in 5 cases.Conclusion The application of facial artery perforator relay flap in repairing middle facial defects has satisfactory clinical effect.Strengthening the comprehensive nursing is helpful to improve the prognosis after the operation.
