Objective The aim is to analyze the governance system of research integrity, particularly its achievements and shortcomings, and propose potential suggestions for improvement based on searching documents pertaining to the establish-ment of research integrity in China. Methods These documents were obtained by searching PKULAW.CN,the official web-sites of related government departments, and integrity—related websites using keywords.Subsequently, the external attributes and characteristics,as well as the publishing trends of these documents, are summarized. Results The number of research in-tegrity policies released in China has increased since the year 2000.Of the 80 documents,60 were independently issued. The documents were primarily issued by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology. They focused on the standardized treatment of academic misconduct, necessary reforms in the science and technology evaluation system, and ethical governance and management practices within the medical field. Conclusions China emphasizes the importance of fostering in-tegrity in scientific research,as demonstrated by various documents that indicate a trend towards standardization and systemati-zation.However,the persistent occurrence of academic misconduct suggests that implementing these regulations requires strengthening. Therefore,it is essential to develop additional standards and guidelines for relevant institutions in order to foster a culture of research integrity.
