Clinical Effect of Huaban Decoction and Shenling Baizhu Powder on Pre-venting Radiation-Induced Lung Injury Based on Immune-inflammation Axis
Objective To investigate the preventive effect of Huaban decoction and ShenlingBaizhu powder on cancer radiation-induced lung injury(RILI)and its effect on immune-inflammation axis.Methods A total of 120 patients undergo-ing cancer radiotherapy admitted from January 2021 to January 2023 were divided into research group and control group.Both groups were treated with radiotherapy for 6 consecutive weeks.During radiotherapy,the research group was treated with Hua-bang decoction and Shenling Baizhu powder,while the control group was treated with placebo.The radiotherapy efficacy,inci-dence of RILI,serum inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β),tumor necrosis fac-tor-α(TNF-α)]and immune indexes(CD3 +,CD4 +,CD4 +/CD8 +),pulmonary function indicators[total lung capacity(TLC),forced vital capacity(FVC)],and plasma exosome miR-17-5p,miR-7-5p levels before and after radiotherapy were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of radiotherapy in the research group[91.67%(55/60)]was higher than that in the control group[78.33%(47/60)],and the incidence of RILI was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of serum TNF-α,TGF-β,IL-6 and plasma exosome miR-17-5p and miR-7-5p in the research group were lower than those in the control group at 3 and 6 weeks after radiotherapy,while the levels of CD3 +,CD4 +,CD4 +/CD8 +,TLC and FVC were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Huaban decoction and Shenling Baizhu powder have good preventive effect on RILI during cancer radiotherapy,which can reduce inflammation,im-prove immune function and pulmonary function,and reduce the incidence of RILI.The mechanism of action may be related to inhibiting the expression of miR-17-5p and miR-7-5p.
