Study on Morphological Changes and Developmental Assessment Classification Method of Lateral Fissure in Fetuses at 20 to 32 Weeks of Gestation Using Color Doppler Ultrasound
Objective To explore the morphological changes and development evaluation and grading method of fetal lateral fissures during the 20-32 weeks of gestation using ultrasound. Methods A total of 150 pregnant women who underwent ultrasound examinations at Inner Mongolia People's Hospital between January 2020 and December 2023 were selected.Among them,80 cases were classified based on the right lateral fissure, and 70 cases were classified based on the left lateral fissure. The classifications of lateral fissures at different gestational weeks and the relationship between the depth of lateral fissures and gestational weeks were analyzed. Results Statistically significant differences were observed in the grading of lateral fissures between the left and right sides at 20-23 weeks,24-27 weeks, and 28-32 weeks of gestation ( P<0.05 ) .Specifically,at 20-23 weeks of gestation, the grading of both left and right lateral fissures was mainly Grade 1;at 24-27 weeks,it was mainly Grade 3 or above;and at 28-32 weeks,it was mainly Grade 4 or above. In pregnant women with both left and right lateral fissures, the depth of the lateral fissures at 28-32 weeks of gestation was significantly greater than that at 20-23 weeks and 24-27 weeks ( P<0.05 ) .A positive correlation was found between the depth of lateral fissures and gestational age ( rs=0.930,P<0.05 ) .Conclusion Ultrasound grading of fetal lateral fissure development during the 20-32 weeks of gestation has certain application value in evaluating fetal lateral fissure development and maturity.Additionally, there is a clear correlation between the depth of lateral fissures and gestational age.
