Evaluation of Clinical Outcomes of Thoracoscopy Combined with Laparoscopy in Esophageal Cancer
Objective To evaluate the clinical outcomes of thoracoscopy combined with laparoscopy in the treatment of esophageal cancer. Methods Eighty-six esophageal cancer patients treated in our hospital from January 2019 to No-vember 2023 were selected and divided into the experimental group (43 patients) and the control group (43 patients) according to the randomized numerical table method. Patients in the control group were treated with traditional thoracoscopy;patients in the experimental group were treated with thoracoscopy combined with laparoscopy. The amount of lymph node dissection,op-eration time, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative drainage volume, length of hospitalization, and occurrence of complications were observed. Results Lymph node dissection in the experimental group was significantly higher than in the control group (P<0.05),and operation time, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative drainage, and hospitalization time were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The experimental group had one case of anastomotic fistula, one infection, and one arrhythmia;the control group had one case of anastomotic fistula and one case of atelectasis. There was no significant difference in the occurrence of complications between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Thoracoscopy combined with laparoscopy can significantly improve surgical efficiency and has a remarkable clinical effect, making it worthy of promotion.
