Study on the Therapeutic Effect of Platelet Rich Plasma on Hypertrophic Scars after Burns
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of autologous platelet rich plasma(PRP)on hypertrophic scars after burns. Methods 80 patients with hypertrophic scars after burns treated at the Ninth Hospital from September 2016 to June 2023 were randomly divided into an experimental group of 42 cases and a control group of 38 cases. The control group received routine Meek skin transplantation treatment, while the experimental group received PRP combined with Meek skin transplantation treatment. Both groups were followed up for 3 and 6 months to analyze the clinical efficacy,Vancouver Scar Scale(VSS),Pain VAS score, and scar blood flow perfusion between the two groups. Results The total effective rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the dif-ference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 months of treatment, the thickness, flexibility, and overall score of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).At 6 months of treatment, the VSS scores and overall score of the experimental group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05);At 3 and 6 months of treatment, there was a significant differ-ence in VAS scores between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05);at 3 and 6 months of treatment, the scar blood flow perfusion in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.01).Conclu-sion PRP treatment can significantly improve clinical efficacy, reduce VSS and VAS scores, improve scar blood flow perfu-sion,and can be recommended for the treatment of hypertrophic scars after burns.
