Observation on the Effect of Ear Acupoint Electrical Stimulation Combined with Acupuncture and Cupping Therapy for Atopic Dermatitis
Objective Observation of the clinical efficacy of ear acupoint electrical stimulation combined with acu-puncture and cupping therapy for patients with atopic dermatitis(AD)and its impact on inflammatory indicators.Methods Select 80 AD patients admitted from July 2023 to March 2024,the study subjects were randomly divided into an observation group of 40 cases(including 1 dropout)and a control group of 40 cases(including 2 dropouts)using a random number table.Both groups were given oral administration of ebastine tablets and topical application of vitamin E milk.The control group re-ceived acupuncture and cupping therapy on this basis,while the observation group received ear acupoint electrical stimulation therapy on the basis of the control group.Evaluate the efficacy of two groups of patients after treatment is completed;Compare the levels of SCORAD,VAS,DLQI,and serum inflammatory factors(IgE,IL-4,INF-γ)before and after treatment in two groups of atopic dermatitis;The recurrence rate at weeks 4,8,and 12 after follow-up treatment.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.87%,which was better than the control group's 71.05%(P＜0.05).After treatment,the SCORAD,VAS,and DLQI scores of both groups of patients decreased.Compared with before treatment,the degree of de-crease in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).Meanwhile,the levels of ser-um IgE and IL-4 in both groups of patients also decreased after treatment,while the level of IFN-γ increased.There were differences between the observation group and the control group(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).In the three subsequent visits,the re-currence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group.(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of ear acupoint electrical stimulation and cupping therapy can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of AD patients,alleviate itching,improve quality of life,reduce serum IgE and IL-4 levels,increase serum IFN-γ levels,and have a low recurrence rate.
