Study on the Effect of Non-ionic and Cationic Guar Gum in the White Water Recycling Under Cigarette Paper Net
This paper investigated the effect of the proportion of white water circulation and the amount of non-ionic and cationic guar gum on filler retention. The results showed that proper white water circulation can improve the retention of fillers. When the sealing degree of white water is 40%,the retention rate of fillers reached the optimal 41.3%.However,further deepening the sealing degree made the paper machine environment harsh, and the filler retention rate eventually dropped to 33%.The mechanical strength, whiteness and opacity of the paper also decreased. When non-ionic and cationic guar gum were used as additives, various properties of the paper were optimized. The retention and reinforcement effects were achieved best when their addition amounts were 0.3%and 0.1%,respectively.The retention of filler was increased to 51.4%,and the tensile strength and tear index was 46.7 N·m/g and 1.98 mN·m2/g,respectively.
