This paper focuses on critical safety techniques to prevent the collapse of woodchip stacks in the paper industry.Collapse refers to the loss of stability of the stack structure under the influence of external or internal factors, which may lead to serious production interruptions and safety hazards. The conditions for the formation of woodchip stack collapse include the basic conditions of the stack, the way of unstacking, seasonal factors and ground leveling. These conditions are intertwined and constitute a potential threat of stack collapse. The causes of collapse are divided into two main categories:factors related to production activities and external environmental factors. In terms of production activities, improper operation and uneven loading may lead to stack instability.External factors, including sudden weather changes and earthquakes, may also trigger collapse events. In order to effectively prevent collapses,it is necessary to follow strict stacking standards and requirements, carry out reasonable stack design, ensure the stability of the stack base, and implement standardized destacking operations. In order to ensure the safety of the production site,it is necessary to strengthen the safety supervision and management of the work site, upgrade the whole process management, carry out employee safety training, and strengthen the safety management, thus preventing the occurrence of woodchip stack collapses to ensure production safety and personnel safety.
