The carbon-fiber paper used for gas diffusion layer of fuel cell was made with carbon fiber and softwood pulp.The process parameters such as carbon fiber surface pretreatment and dispersion,beating of softwood pulp,carbon fiber ratio,and different base weight were investigated.The property and morphology of the paper were analyzed.It was shown that in order to erase the glue from carbon fiber surface,the method of heat reflux extraction with alcohol solvent got a best result.The beating technology of softwood pulp was as follows:loosing 10 minutes+beating 10 minutes with 2.1kg pressure+beating 10 minutes with 3.1kg pressure(beating degree 240SR).The ratio of carbon fiber of the common carbon-fiber conductive paper was 15％while that of the high-performance carbon fiber paper 40％.As a result,the produced paper showed low resistivity,high strength and good gas permeability.
