The advent of the meta-universe era will open up new development space for smart archives,and realize the integration and symbiosis of virtual and reality.On the basis of explaining the concepts of metacomes and smart archives,this paper analyzes the positive impact of metacomes on the construction of smart archives from three aspects:virtual service capability enhancement,user immersive interactive experience,and virtual-real integration space construction.It is proposed that the construction elements of smart archives from the perspective of meta-universe should include resource ontology dominated by archive data resources,personnel subject dominated by virtual users and virtual librarians,and environmental objects dominated by space scenes of virtual and real symbiosis.It is pointed out that the realization path of the construction of smart archives from the perspective of meta-universe includes building the intelligent management system of archive resources in the meta-universe environment,encouraging users to participate in the creation of archive content relying on the meta-universe environment,cultivating smart archivists in the meta-universe environment and innovating the meta-universe application scenario of intelligent service of archives.
