In order to perfect the classification of human shoulder-arm shape to improve the fit of sleeve structure design,the paper randomly selected 150 young and middle-aged women aged 35-60 in Jiangxi as the research objects,and the relevant parameters of shoulder-arm were obtained by DITUS 3D body scanner.Principal component analysis was used to extract three principal com-ponent factors that can represent the shoulder-arm shape,namely circumference,length and angle.Taking the characteristic factors as classification indexes,K-means clustering method was used to classify the shoulder and arm shape of middle-aged and young women in Jiangxi into three categories:short and thin oblique shoulder,intermediate shoulder and long and fat oblique shoulder to provide theoretical basis and parameter basis for the sleeve structure design of more women.
