Connotation of Farming Culture in Tongdao Dong Nationality Costumes
Influenced by the farming culture,the clothing of the Dong nationality is the materialized expression of the farming society and carries the Dong ethnic culture.In order to further study the cultural connotation of Dong clothing,this paper takes Dong household clothing and museum collection clothing in Tongdao County as research samples,combines literature to trace the causality between Tongdao Dong clothing and regional environment and agricultural development,and explores the agricultural cultural connotation of Tongdao Dong clothing from the perspective of shape,color,pattern and ornament.The research results show that Tongdao Dong clothing is an ethnic costume art gradually created,developed and condensed by the Dong people to better carry out farming activities on the basis of adapting to the production and living environment,which has its unique artistry.Tongdao Dong clothing reflects the labor needs in the farming lifestyle and emphasizes the design concept of harmonious coexistence be-tween human beings and nature.The characteristics of farming culture begins with'practical supremacy',moves to'tools for people',and ends with'use to benefit people'which also reflect the life wisdom,the cognition of nature,and the creation of beauty of the Dong people.
