凝视理论视角下《大众电影》封面女性形象符号研究

为了解近40年女性形象变迁,文章选取《大众电影》1979~2019年的450个封面女性为研究对象,综合运用符号学和凝视理论,对《大众电影》封面女性形象符合的能指和所指进行分析.研究表明中国女性的服饰、发型和妆容等女性形象符号在过去40年间都发生了阶段性变化,妆容上由淡妆为主转向浓淡兼有,且随女性的个人风格进行变化;发型也随西方思潮的涌入,从单一的烫卷演变至直发、染发百花齐放;配饰上淡化耳饰及项链,只将其作为点睛之笔搭配正式服装;女性在他者的凝视下完成了自我意识的觉醒.本研究可为探究不同时期的女性形象变化及社会审美提供参考.
Research on Female Image Symbol on the Cover of Popular Cinema from the Perspective of Gaze Theory
In order to understand the change of female image since 1979,this paper selects 450 cover women of Popular Cinema from 1979 to 2019 as the research objects,and analyzes the signifier and signification of female image on the cover of Popular Cin-ema by semiology method and Gaze Theory.The research shows that Chinese women's clothing,hairstyles,makeup and other symbols of female identity have undergone periodic changes over the past 40 years.The makeup changes from light make-up to both heavy and light make-up,while undertaking changes with the women's personal style.Hairstyles also change with the influx of western ideas,evolving from single curly hairstyle to straight hair and dyed hair and other various hairstyle.As for ac-cessories,women downplay earrings and necklaces,which were only used as finishing touch with formal clothing.Women realized the awakening of self-consciousness under the gaze of the other people.This study can provide reference for exploring the changes of female image and social aesthetics in different periods.
