Research on Liu Yizheng's early ethical and moral thoughts—Centered on Ethics Lecture Notes
In the late Qing Dynasty,new schools began to set up ethical courses.When Liu Yizheng was teaching ethics course in Jiangnan Higher School,he compiled a book called Ethics Lecture Notes.Ethics Lecture Notes which embodied Liu Yizhen's ethical and moral thoughts in his early years.During the late Qing Dynasty,when there was a conflict between Chinese and Western new and old ethics and morality,Liu Yizheng affirmed the value of traditional Chinese ethics and morals,advocated filial piety,criticized various behaviors in Western society where parents were passersby,and emphasized that couples should have equal rights while having a primary and secondary role in governance.At the same time,Liu Yizheng also emphasized the absorption of new ethical concepts.
