The original meaning of"Chang Shuai"is"causing someone's reputation to be damaged".When borrowed to Mandarin from Cantonese dialect words,its semantic meaning becomes"not optimistic",and its semantic change process involves the projection from the domain of action to the domain of knowledge and then to the domain of speech.Structurally speaking,"Chang Shuai"is a verb complement phrase that gradually solidifies into words during the language use.In this process,the triggering effect of syntactic change and psychological chunks during the language comprehension are important factors that induce lexicalization of"Chang Shuai",and the reanalysis of semantic structure is an important mechanism for its lexicalization.
