Application and Prospect of High Specific Surface Area α-Al2O3 in Catalysts
High specific surface α-Al2O3 is a thermodynamically unstable phase at room temperature,which is difficult to synthesize.However,its surface inertness,high mechanical strength,high hydrothermal stability and strong dispersion ability to reactive metals make it an important advantage in the field of catalyst support applications.This paper summarizes the latest research progress on the preparation method of high specific surface area α-Al2O3,and introduces its application examples in catalysts.According to the material characteristics,the potential reaction types that can be applied to α-Al2O3 as a catalyst carrier are prospected,which provides a reference for its subsequent development and application.
