In the context of the strategy of"spreading Chinese culture overseas",the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed the strategic goal of enhancing the country's cultural soft power.Folk culture,as the core foundation of culture,plays an essential role in the process of successful internationalization.This article,based on the current status of Zhoushan folk culture translation,takes Morris's theory of meaning as a guiding principle to explore effective translation strategies and methods.Several practical translation approaches are proposed to facilitate the external communication of Zhoushan folk culture,showcasing the diverse and vibrant Chinese culture to the world so as to drive the development of the local cultural industry in Zhejiang.
