By constructing a core competitiveness index system for university libraries,this study analyzes the impact of core competitiveness factors of university's libraries on its research capacity by using econometric models and panel data from 62 domestic agricultural universities'libraries from 2015-2021.The results indicate that expenditures on literature resources,the number of paper books in the collection and databases quantity have a significant positive effect on university research levels.Additionally,the publication of core journal papers by library staff also contributes to university research capacity.However,the opening hours do not significantly impact university research capacity.Consequently,recommendations are made to safeguard adequate funding and optimize resource allocation structures of the library,so as to support the enhancement of university research capacity.
