The paper analyzes Cao Cao's creation of wine poetry,wine drinking,wine offering,and wine prohibition to explore his contributions to the development of wine culture.His wine poetry presents a strong and vigorous spirit of poetry and wine.Cao Cao deeply understands the dual nature of wine con-sumption.He implements a policy of wine prohibition due to the need for food conservation and the ancient saying that drinking wine may lead to the downfall of a country.At the same time,he also achieves some political goals through utilitarian drinking behavior.Cao Cao follows and implements traditional drinking etiquette,which has enlightening significance for the promotion of wine culture in contemporary times.
