By means of Kaya's identity and LMDI decomposition,the paper studies the distribution characteristics and influencing factors of carbon emission in Zhangjiakou City from 2006 to 2020,and ana-lyzes regional differences based on Theil index.The results show that the carbon emission intensity in counties shows a decreasing trend and a significant regional difference,the intra-regional and inter-regional differences in carbon emission at the county level are gradually decreasing,with intra-regional differences dominating,and economic development is the main influencing factor of carbon emission growth.In view of this situation,it is suggested that Zhangjiakou City should carry out carbon emission reduction work a-round key regions,strengthen regional exchanges and cooperation,focus on the development of new low-carbon economic model,and improve energy efficiency.
