The Great Wall settlement is not only the important space carrier of the Great Wall culture and the living place of people but also the main body of improving the living environment in the construc-tion of the national cultural park.As a traditional settlement along the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty,Xi-malin Fort has rich historical deposits and cultural resources.The investigation and analysis of the histori-cal background and development status of Ximalin Fort and the exploration of the transformation and re-newal mode of the traditional settlement landscape along the Great Wall can provide a reference for the construction and development of the Great Wall National Cultural Park.
