Effect of spraying boron and molybdenum fertilizer on the quality of flue-cured tobacco in Hezhou tobacco planting area
Based on the widespread lack of boron and molybdenum in the soil of Hezhou tobacco planting area in Guangxi,a field experiment was conducted in Fuyang Town,Fuchuan County,Hezhou City.In order to screen suitable boron and molybdenum fertilizer application plans for the region, the effect of different spraying times of boron and molybdenum fertilizer on the yield, output value, and chemical composition of flue-cured tobacco was investigated, with clear water sprayed on the leaf surface as the control. The results showed that foliar spraying of boron and molybdenum fertilizer significantly increased the yield and output value of tobacco leaves, with an increase of 16.08%-24.36%in yield and 20.84%-27.19%in output value.Spraying boron and molybdenum fertilizer on the leaves increased the total nitrogen content of tobacco leaves and made it closer to the optimal value, reduced the total sugar and reducing sugar content of tobacco leaves, played a certain role in improving the coordination of tobacco chemical composition, and significantly increased the boron and molybdenum content of tobacco leaves.Considering the labor cost of tobacco production, spraying 0.06%boron and molybdenum fertilizer on the leaf surface of flue-cured tobacco in budding stage is the best technical plan for the application of boron and molybdenum fertilizer in Hezhou tobacco planting area.
