Adhering to the people-centered approach is an important part of Xi Jinping'Thought on So-cialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era,highlighting the people-oriented nature as the most distinctive character of Marxism.From a historical perspective,people are the creators of history,and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation cannot be achieved without the joint efforts of the Chinese people.As a manifestation of values,people are the subject of interests and value judgments.Placing people at the center requires that the people's aspiration for a better life be always taken as the goal of our struggle,which deeply demonstrates the original aspiration and mission of Chinese Communists.From a global perspective,the devel-opment ideology centered on people breaks the western logic of"material-centered"development,aiming to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind,and shouldering the mission and re-sponsibility of making continuous new contributions to mankind.
